Drug addiction breaks hearts, tears families apart and even takes our loved ones away from us.  Megan Gish shares the story of her brother Adam through his last days and what she is doing to honor his memory.

Here's Adam's story in his sister, Megan's words;

Two years ago, my brother, Adam Wilson got sober for his longest and most successful stints of sobriety, with the help of the wonderful men at Friends of Sinners. With the support from the staff and the lifelong family members he made at the beginning of this journey, he was able to leave the program, the facility, and get his own place to live his newly sober life. All the while continuing contact with men who prayed with him and for him.

I will never forget how often Adam spoke of Friends of Sinners and the incredible impact they had on his life. They showed Adam God. Taught him to pray, how to live a full and sober life. They played Fantasy Football with him, cheered him on during his sober journey, loved him and his sweet daughter. And Adam loved them, too.

Unfortunately, Adam relapsed and passed away in August. He never stopped talking about the relationships he made and continued to regularly visit his friends at FOS. Since Adam passed, FOS has been a wonderful support system for me and my family. Joe Welsh and Nick Martin have made us feel like members of the family, as well. Each time I speak with them, I feel the love they felt for Adam. I will never be able to thank FOS enough for what they gave my brother and our family. Because I know he isn’t the only life they touched. They continue to assist in paving paths of sobriety daily for many people. And for that, we will ever be grateful to watch others succeed in such a heart-wrenching and difficult journey. We live through FOS and their successes. Thank you for everything Friends of Sinners family.
