The Kentucky Theatre Association High School Play Festival was held November 11th and 12th at UK, where Apollo students performed “Miss Polly’s Institute for Criminally Damaged Young Ladies Puts on a Show” by Don Zolidis.

AHS students, under the direction of April Berry, captured numerous awards. Tori Avery (an Apollo senior) took home a major honor.  She was named Best Actress in Kentucky!  In fact, this marks the second year in a row this honor has been awarded to a student from Apollo.

Additional honors went to Lexi Johnson (a junior), who was named to the All-State cast and Gabe Bartley (a junior), who was named Best Student Director.

The team has been on quite a streak this competition season.  They won first place at the Regional meet earlier this month in Madisonville, where they received superior ratings.
