Here’s How to Enjoy a Getaway at This Festive KY Christmas Town
This holiday season, are you looking at fun and festive road trips to add to your Christmas itinerary? If so, Kentucky offers no shortage of ideal destinations that will perfectly compliment your Yuletide celebration.
You have plenty of choices, and I don't expect any of them are bad, but when I think of Christmas in Kentucky, Bardstown is the small town that always leaps to mind. But don't tell THEM they're a small town; they hardly act like it.
Light Up Bardstown
It's an amazing getaway regardless of the time of year, but at Christmastime, Bardstown takes "strutting its stuff" to a whole new level. And the season kicks into high gear on November 29th with the annual lighting of the Christmas tree, complete with music, refreshments, and photo ops with Santa.
My Old Kentucky Home
One of the Bluegrass State's most popular and historic attractions, My Old Kentucky Home will be decorated spectacularly and whisk you back to holidays of old. The centerpiece of this landmark's holiday season will be the annual performance of A Christmas Carol.
The Bardstown Christmas Parade
I've known people who were such parade lovers, that they would hit as many as they could during the holidays. Bardstown's annual extravaganza was likely on many lists, and this year's event takes place on December 5th
So, how does all that sound? And don't forget to hop aboard the trolley when you get there. I can't think of a better way to experience one of the top Christmas towns in Kentucky.
