Do I have exciting news for YOU, baseball fans! Legendary New York Mets and New York Yankees right fielder, Darryl Strawberry, is coming to Owensboro this summer!

Winner of four World Series titles--one with the Mets and three with the Yankees--Strawberry will be the keynote speaker at the Alma Randolph Charitable Foundation's 24th annual fundraiser.

According to Owensboro Living, the fundraiser is set for July 22nd at the Owensboro Convention Center.

Now an ordained minister, Strawberry struggled with addiction before turning his life around and now speaks all across the country.

The ARCF dinner is the organization's largest fundraising event and is such a boon for disadvantaged families in the Owensboro area.
