Kentucky Amphitheatre Hosting ‘Battle of the Dam’ Bands and Your Band Could Win

Beaver Dam Amphitheatre in Ohio County, Kentucky has already announced a couple of big events coming up in 2023.

First up will be the season opener on Saturday, May 6th. That's when Beaver Dam will roll out the proverbial red carpet to welcome Casting Crowns' The Healer Tour to town.

Beaver Dam has also unveiled plans for their 2023 Rock the Dam event, which is set for Saturday, July 29th.

Now, the folks at Beaver Dam Amphitheatre are unveiling the details of another 2023 event. In fact, it's a brand new event. For the first time ever, they're hosting an epic talent contest called The Battle of the Dam Bands. The contest features a massive grand prize and gives participating acts the chance to win their share of over $16,000 in cash and prizes.

The contest is being staged in a couple of different phases, the first of which- the open submission period- gets underway on February 1st.  The deadline for bands to submit for consideration is 11:59pm CST on February 28th.

After the initial submission period, eight finalists will be chosen to "battle" it out at Beaver Dam Amphitheatre on Saturday, May 13th, just a week after the season opening Casting Crowns concert.
