This Louisville Cocktail Lounge Was Named One of the Best Bars in the U.S.
Last weekend, my book club gals and I took Louisville by storm. We had such a blast, I am already planning for next time. We already found a great place to stay and a great brunch spot. Now, I have just the perfect place to go after dinner for drinks, and the atmosphere looks fancy and gorgeous.
Darling's in Louisville Makes USA Today Best Bars List
While perusing USA Today's 2025 list of Best Bars in the United States, I spotted a Louisville, KY establishment I'd never heard of before. Apparently, it's a hotspot, and I can see why. Here is what they have to say about Darling's, a gin-loving cocktail lounge.
In one of Louisville’s buzziest neighborhoods, an unassuming corner bar welcomes locals and tourists with a rusty neon sign for “cocktails.” Once inside the dimly lit Darling’s, the vintage-looking floral wallpaper, long bar, green leather seating and murals of fairylike ladies create a romantic, cozy vibe perfect for drinks before dinner or talking for hours. In a town where bourbon booms, this neighborhood joint stands out for its gin-forward menu, inventive craft cocktails and weekly tiki nights. It’s the kind of place you might pop in for happy hour gin and tonics, regarded as the best of their kind in the city, and stay until the free late-night pizza arrives. — Amanda Hancock, Louisville Courier Journal
What is the Vibe at Darling's in Louisville, KY?
Taking a look at the menu photos on their website, it is certain your eyes will enjoy your drink before your taste buds do. As you can see in this video, the decor vibe is beautiful in the natural sunlight, but I bet it is magically moody at night.
Have you ever been to Darling's? What did you think? What is your favorite bar in Louisville?
