The Cafe May Be the Best Brunch in Louisville, Kentucky
This weekend, I was in Louisville with my book club for our annual trip. Our friend Libby coordinated a wonderful time of fun in the sun, and you know we do not play around when it comes to food and cocktails.
She had a wonderful recommendation for dinner Saturday night that I will tell y'all more about another time, but you know the most important meal of a girls' trip is brunch. We woke up Sunday morning, and while we were getting ready, Libby called around to get us a reservation. Since we had a group of ten, she was having some trouble finding a spot that would work for us.
But boy, did we luck out! We got our bags packed up, checked out of The Myriad hotel, and headed to The Cafe. As soon as we walked in, there was a case of beautiful cakes and pastries to the left and a gorgeous gift shop to the right. They've got the vibe just right with the tall ceilings and industrial yet fancy feel.

We slid into the velvet booths and took in the huge Parisian posters on the wall. This is where we normally would have ordered mimosas, but we needed caffeine even more. However, if we had been down for some hair of the dog, this would have been pretty dang tempting!
Look at that work of art! It's called Mary Got Boojie'd! This Mary may or may not be having some regrets that I didn't get one, but what we ordered was absolutely wonderful. The brunch menu has lots of creative breakfast options and sandwiches if you are feeling more "lunchy."
It was hard to decide, but our server gave us excellent and honest advice about the most popular dishes. Major props to her. She took such good care of us! Making sure our coffee was topped off and we had everything we needed. A couple of gals wanted to share their plates, so she had the kitchen go ahead and split the dishes, which were VERY generous portions.
This was the 3-Egg Omelette. That HAS to be more than three eggs.
This is Claire modeling the huge Biscuits & Gravy. She said the sausage had a little kick to it and was delicious.
I hadn't had a good ole Hot Brown in a while, so I had to get one. It was SO GOOD.
Not pictured is the incredible French toast Jacqueline and Kristin got that we were all jealous of. Another perk was how reasonable the prices were. If you want to take a look at the menu, click here for The Cafe website.
The Stoneware & Co. store is also attached to the restaurant if you want to shop after you eat. The Cafe just so happens to be around the corner from Fleur de Flea Vintage Market, which was our next plan for the day, so that was pretty perfect. Brunch and treasure hunting are a great combo.
Have you ever eaten at The Cafe in Louisville, KY? If not, I highly recommend! We will definitely be back.
