As pet parents, we all think our fur babies are beautiful right? I know if I see a post on social media asking for folks to share pictures of adorable animals, I always pick one of my four for submission. Just doing my part to spread their sweetness with the world!

The Kentucky Humane Society takes it a step further from a social media post. They design a yearly calendar as a fundraiser for the organization which helps homeless cats, dogs, and even horses all over the state. The models for the calendar? Adorable animals from Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Do you have a photogenic pet?

According to the Kentucky Humane Society website, these are the details for photo submission:

"Photo submission donations are 1 for $25, 2 for $40 or 3 for $60. Each donation gives your pet a chance to be one of 11 Featured Pets of the Month, or 36 Runner Ups. Everyone who submits a photo is guaranteed to have their pet’s photo printed in the Lifelong Friends Calendar Collage. Plus, each entrant will be mailed a 2025 calendar in November. Calendars will be available for purchase at KHS’ Sam Swope Pet TLC and East Campus as well as Feeders Pet Supply later this year."

For your best chance to win one of the features in the calendar, make sure your photo is horizontal layout, high quality resolution, only include your pet, and in color.  A committee will decide the winners without any identifying information. They choose solely on cuteness and photo quality.

For more information about the KHS 2024 Pet Calendar Contest and to submit your photogenic fur baby, visit the Kentucky Humane Society website through August 9th.
