It's a college basketball tradition that dates back to 1987 when singer/songwriter David Barrett introduced the world to "One Shining Moment". Barrett's version was heard first, then remakes were recorded by Teddy Pendergrass and Luther Vandross. The only time a version deviated from the original or remakes was when Jennifer Hudson took on the song in 2010. Well, a backlash ensued, yet CBS and TBS are going to try again to revamp the post-NCAA tournament anthem. No, just no.

The Luther Vandross version was brought back in 2011. I mean, come on.

And for good measure, here's the very first "One Shining Moment" by David Barrett.

So, any ideas who we'll hear Monday night? It's being kept a secret. Just like the tournament itself this year, I hope we're being punked.
