Visit This Adorable Kentucky Gift Shop in a Shipping Container

If there's one thing about me it's that I LOVE to piddle around in unique gift shops. My friend Heather knows this about me, so when she found the cutest little place in Central City, she told me all about it. Here is Heather shopping! Hi ladies!

Apple House Mercantile is the first and possibly only (that I know of) stand-alone storage container gift shop in Kentucky. Owner Misty Stanley was inspired by her sweet memories of growing up in her grandparents' corner store The Apple House Market. If you lived in the area when it was thriving, you know Clifford and Marie Deason had the best produce, gifts, and flowers. It became a landmark.

Misty also inherited her grandparents' passion for taking care of people and making them happy. Stocking adorable t-shirts, Kentucky gifts, jewelry, treats, and popular brands like Nora Fleming for folks who love to entertain. She strives to curate quality American-made and -even better- locally made products as well.

Here's a video of some Nora Fleming. She makes classic serving pieces and housewares that allow personalization for holidays. Misty also offers registries and will beautifully gift wrap selections to deliver to the bride or mama-to-be.
