Country Superstar Dwight Yoakam Announces Owensboro Tour Stop

In January, Dwight Yoakam announced tour dates all across the country, and now Owensboro is one of those stops. In April, the multiple Grammy Award winner will take the stage at the Owensboro Sportscenter. Tickets will go on sale on February 18th.

Johnny Cash and my Daddy had something in common. Dwight Yoakum was their favorite country artist. He's one of mine as well. I love his mix of honkey tonk, bluegrass, with a hint of rock in his music. It makes Dwight unique to the industry. There truly is nobody like him, and probably won't be. When you hear the first few beats of his songs, you know it's a Dwight Yoakum tune. What's your favorite song Yoakam song?

"Guitars, Cadillacs"

"Guitars, Cadillacs" won him a Grammy Award for Best Country Song in 1987, along with many other awards. The song is incredible, and it was how I was first introduced to his music.

"Honky Tonk Man"

"Honky Tonk Man", a remake of the Johnny Horton song, was an instant hit and one of my all-time favorites.

"A Thousand Miles From Nowhere"

"A Thousand Miles From Nowhere" earned Dwight Yoakam another Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance in 1996. I could listen to this one on repeat!

Truly, there are too many amazing songs to mention. If you want to dance, load up "Little Sister" or if you want to slow it down, play "Suspicious Minds". He's sold more than 25 million albums, 12 of which went gold, so truly there's something for everyone to enjoy. We'll get to hear his amazing music soon, and I'm so excited.
