Country Sweetheart Set for Seventh USO Tour

Country music artists are known for their support of the troops. One country star tends to go above and beyond to show her appreciation for our finest. Kellie Pickler has graced the cover of magazines in military style, flown with the Blue Angels and gone on several USO tours. Looks like she'll be going back overseas very soon!

Kellie Pickler loves the troops! The singer is a tireless supporter of military servicemen and women and has been for several years. She has embarked on six previous USO tours and has confirmed participation in a seventh this holiday season.

Pickler is participating in "Every Moment Counts," the USO's new campaign that encourages all Americans to show their appreciation for the troops by helping to create everyday moments for military families. Pickler's service to this particular campaign will include a nine-day tour of the Middle East.

Her itinerary is packed. She will play five USO shows and visit two countries, along with taking extra time along the way to talk to and thank the troops for all they do for Americans.

Pickler has been a dedicated supporter of our troops with a variety of efforts since 2007.

“The USO tours and programs I’ve been a part of have definitely been the highlight of my career, so I‘m honored to join the USO in helping to raise awareness about the many precious moments that our troops and their families sacrifice due to their commitment and service to our country,” said Pickler in a statement. “'Every Moment Counts' is especially close to my heart because it not only recognizes their personal sacrifices, but gives Americans the opportunity to thank our troops with a special gift of a moment.”
