Danai Gurira Leaving ‘The Walking Dead’

We first saw her katana, samurai sword slashing the heads off of walkers in season 3 of The Walking Dead and now, Michonne played by Danai Gurira, will be leaving the hit series ahead of season 10. 

Let's take a look back at how Michonne came into the TV series world.

What happens next is Guriria will appear in a handful episodes in season 10 and then exit, but how? She may find out Rick is actually alive, head out to find him, and then the actress will more than likely join the three films Andrew Lincoln has been confirmed to appear in that will take place in The Walking Dead universe, which means Michonne will live.

But will Michonne leave her children, Judith and R.J. behind? They could go with her or stay and continue to fight and to rebuild the new world.

As for the actress, she's a Tony-nominated playwright and she's now part of the Marvel universe in her role as Okoye in Black Panther. According to her IMDB, Guirira will be in Godzilla vs. Kong and she's rumored to be in the next Star Trek film sequel.

It all begs the question, how long will the original 'Dead' series last without so many core lead characters?
