David Allan Coe, Confederate Railroad Will Not Perform Tonight at Daviess County Fairgrounds
According to the Daviess County Lions Club Fairgrounds, David Allan Coe nor Confederate Railroad will perform this evening as scheduled. This according to a Facebook post late this afternoon.
According to concert goers on the scene, there is much confusion about why the two headliners will not be playing. An earlier Eyewitness News report indicated that David Allan Coe was escorted off the property, but those reports, to our knowledge, have not been confirmed by officials with the Daviess County Lions Club Fairgrounds.
Shortly after news broke that David Allan Coe was not being allowed to play, additional news broke that Confederate Railroad would not be playing either. We now know, through social media accounts for both acts, that there are different reasons involved for each.
Moments ago, a post was made by David Allan Coe's official social media sites.
Confederate Railroad, within the last hour, shared this news on the band's official Facebook page . . .
In the meantime, officials from the Daviess County Lions Club Fairgrounds are reminding disappointed fans that they simply agreed to rent the venue to the concert promoter and all questions about refunds, etc. will have to be routed to that agency.
Tonight's concert was promoted by Mr. Bad Guy Presents. We have not yet received an official statement from them.
