Kentucky has two forest fire hazard seasons each year and the first one begins this Friday, February 15th.

We've had a lot of precipitation this winter, of varying types, but, man, when that rain goes away it dries up so quick. I bet I could power six lamps with the static electricity coming off of me today.

While most people aren't going camping anytime soon, the cold weather makes outdoor bonfires that much more enticing.

So you need to know the fire hazard laws and that's why the Daviess County Sheriff's Office posted them:

Enjoy your bonfire, but be safe doing it.
