Here in Kentucky, we're home to the world famous Bourbon Trail.  Now, Ohio, our neighbors to the northeast are laying claim to something that's possibly even more delicious.  Butler County, Ohio is home to a Donut Trail.  Whoa!!  What??  I saw this pop up on my Facebook feed a couple of days ago and decided to do a little research. First, let's start with the official Butler County Donut Trail promotional video from the Butler County Visitors Bureau.  This illustrates, in full mouth-watering detail, how the trail works.

According to the Donut Trail's official Facebook page, the families that own the thirteen donut shops on the trail have 400+ years combined donut experience.  The Donut Trail itself is self-guided, but you can download an official passport that will help you along.

By the way, if you fill up the passport with a stop at each location, you'll earn your very own Donut Trail t-shirt.

If you want to check out (and/or download) the Donut Trail Passport, CLICK HERE! The passport has the names and addresses of the participating donut shops.

The Butler County Donut Trail's official website also has a map to help you navigate the course and the calories!

Butler County, Ohio is located in the southwestern part of the state and is considered part of the Greater Cincinnati area.  In other words, yes!  You can easily road trip and tackle the Donut Trail.  So, who's with me?  Who's ready to "glaze" a trail?
