Did You Know You Can Grow Your Own Salad Bowl Plant?

I was out at Reid's Orchard this past Friday looking around during my remote and discovered the "Salad Bowl" Plant. It is exactly what it sounds like.

Katie definitely has a green thumb. She can pretty much grown anything. I was walking past this little bunch of delicousness and said what is that. She said it was a Salad Bowl and will produce several bowls of salad over the spring time.

I love eating salads so this was completely mesmerized by this. She told me you have to take the leaves from the outside of the plant instead of the middle and it will keep making salad.

Another plus is bagged lettuce goes bad so quickly at our house. This plant does not have to be refrigerated. It needs of course to be watered and placed in the sun.

I had two salads this weekend and it was PERFECT!
