I had the great good fortune to chat with country hitmaker Carly Pearce early in her career. A delightful human, she told me about growing up in Taylor Mill KY and her stint, as a teenager, at Dollywood.

Suddenly, I was reminiscing about what a big break OPRYLAND USA used to be for promising newcomers in the 70s and 80s. Sadly, as we all know, Opryland is a thing of the distant past, but Dollywood has stepped in quite nicely to fill those shoes, and then some.

Not only is performing at Dollywood a wonderful stepping stone, but new artists are essentially, by extension, being mentored by the entertainment icon herself. And, of course, that's a big part of what Dolly is all about--fostering new talent.

Are YOU a new talent that would use Dollywood as a springboard to stardom? There's only one way to find out, and that's by making sure your audition application is submitted by the November 8th deadline and then--Captain Obvious here--SHOWING up at either the Atlanta audition on November 13th or the Nashville audition on November 15th.

If you're wondering what it might be like when you meet those who could alter your future, here's a Dollywood representative with a little inside info about the process:

So, if you have what it takes, by all means, get your headshots, resumé, and callback preferences together and then fill out this form.

The rest is up to you. Break a leg and knock 'em dead.
