Empty Bowls of Owensboro Helping To Combat Hunger With Annual Event

Empty Bowls of Owensboro is a grassroots non-profit with a mission of helping to end hunger.  They are hosting their annual Empty Bowls event at Brescia University next week-->

Empty Bowls is made up of various community members and organizations are involved in the effort; area potters volunteer to make ceramic bowls, community members and organizations contribute through donations for a dinner of soup and fellowship. One hundred percent of the proceeds stay in the community and go to local food pantries and soup kitchens. The funds are provided each year to an organization that aids in the mission to end hunger in our community and are garnered through ticket sales, t-shirt sales and silent auction donations.
