Erin Grant Presents: That Time Tammy Wynette ‘Stood By the JAM” [VIDEO]

A couple of weeks ago, I was at my parents' house rummaging through various junk drawers and I found my very first portable mp3 player. I received it for Christmas almost 10 years ago. This reminds me, my first iPod has sort of died on me; I need to do something about that, anyway, I decided to put a battery in my old one and see what tracks were on it. Oh, am I happy I did. Because, here's one I found, well the video for it.

Who else jammed out to The KLF featuring late country legend Tammy Wynette? This version of "Justified and Ancient" was actually a remix from the British house acid group. These guys were kind of like Daft Punk, before Daft Punk came along. The track peaked at no. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1992 no doubt due to Wynette's involvement. I'm glad I dusted that old player off.
