Celebrate Dolly Parton’s Birthday at Brasher’s Lil’ Nashville in Owensboro, Kentucky

Loretta Lynn, Pasty Cline, Tammy Wynette, Reba McEntire, the list goes on of incredible ladies who have become icons of country music. The rhinestones of the airwaves. The stars of the stage. Paving the way for other women in music and the industry as a whole. However, one special woman, in my opinion, is the ultimate QUEEN of Country.

Dolly Parton not only has one of the most recognizable voices, she's written some of the most popular songs of all time. With 44 top ten country albums, 110 career-charted singles, she has traveled the world performing and spreading her generosity through countless acts of philanthropy. Not to mention, she's an absolute boss of a businesswoman.

So, of COURSE, her birthday deserves to be celebrated in a big way! Dolly turns 78 this year, and Brasher's Lil' Nashville here in Owensboro is continuing a tradition they started last year to honor everyone's favorite blonde bombshell. Let me tell you, Tamarra, Andy and their team know how to throw one heck of a party!

Get your friends together for some fun on Thursday, January 18th, as the best little honky tonk in town is taken over by rhinestones and blonde wigs for Dolly's Birthday Party! As always, they will have fun country queen-inspired drinks, creative decorations for photo ops, and some good ole karaoke. I love belting out some 9-5 or Jolene! I'll leave I Will Always Love You to all of you braver singers out there.

My favorite thing about this event is the Dolly look-a-like contest. The place was packed with ladies in their sparkles, fringe, and big blonde curls. Last year, my friend Emma won an amazing prize package thanks to her spot on costume!
