Escaped Inmate Captured in Owensboro

Monday afternoon, the Daviess County Detention Center contacted the Kentucky State Police regarding an inmate that had escaped.

18-year-old Kaleb Gage Anderson, of Owensboro, had been in a secure outdoor area when he jumped the fence and headed west toward town.

Anderson had been lodged in the detention center on charges that included burglary.

Kentucky State Trooper Corey King reports that he was located Wednesday morning, August 30th, 2017, and recaptured.

Trooper King says that he'll likely be charged with second-degree escape.

Anderson has been returned to the Daviess County Detention Center.
