It's never too early to start thinking of spooky season, right? I love all things creepy and scary even though I am a huge wuss!

After all, a good jump scare keeps that heart health in check and a lot of spooky sights are a great way to learn about the actual history of a place. You may already know this, but the Bluegrass state might as well be called the "Boo" grass state for all of the haunts and scary stories that have roots here.

Now, we have an official Passport to help keep track of terrifying travels as you make your journey through killer Kentucky. Some of the stops in the booklet include Waverly Sanatorium in Louisville, Lexington Opera House, Kentucky Lake where the mysterious Dogman has been spotted, Hopkinsville home of the Little Green Men, and more!

I have friends who have spent the night at Waverly Sanatorium and they said there is no way that place isn't haunted. I would LOVE to do that sometime. It sounds terrifying in the best way.

"Explore the Commonwealth’s spookiest sights with the Kentucky After Dark Passport. This booklet keeps you informed and on the move, guiding you through some of Kentucky’s most mysterious attractions. Each section provides all the information you need for an informed trip—and you can collect stamps to show your friends that you faced your fears head-on with fun."

There's only one stop they're missing, Theatre Workshop of Owensboro absolutely needs to be on this list. They do have The Elm in Downtown Henderson on there. I was there just last week for the Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriting Festival and we had a couple of little unexplained things happen while we were there. We were joking that the ghost wanted to be on the radio!

You can find a full list of locations here on the Kentucky After Dark website. You can also get a physical passport at each participating location and the Lexington Visitors Center located at 215 W. Main Street.
