Faculty, Students React to News of New DC Middle School [VIDEO]

It was announced Thursday that a new Daviess County Middle School will be built next to Gateway Commons. It's scheduled to open in August of 2021.

Daviess County Public Schools produced a video showing the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the new school by faculty and staff:

I remember the old middle school very well. When I was there back in the dark ages, that front section--which, itself, is more than 25 years old--was not there.

Back when I was there, I remember having several classes in "mobiles" outside the main building.

You haven't lived until you're a stressed out 14-year-old given three minutes to get from one of those mobiles or the industrial arts building to a science class on the third floor.

Those were the days.

Needless to say, this IS very exciting news for the Daviess County Public School district and I'm anxious to see what the new school will look like.
