The 30th Anniversary Season of Friday After 5 got underway last Friday night in downtown Owensboro, Kentucky with perennial crowd favorites The Juice Box Heroes. There are thirteen weeks in the current season of Friday After 5 and there's literally something for everyone. However, because I am morning host on a country radio station, I decided to create The Country Music Lover's Guide to Friday After 5. According to Heath Eric, from The Eric Group, there's plenty in the pipeline for country fans to enjoy this summer!

In fact, I asked Heath, who books all the talent for Friday After 5, to share some of his recommendations with me. I have included his with mine. Take a look and be sure to save these dates!

STERLING ELZA

First up, country fans need to mark their calendars for Friday, May 29th! That's when Texas native Sterling Elza takes the main stage. I gotta tell you, Sterling has my heart for a couple of reasons. 1) He is a rising country music star. 2) He is a helluva tennis player. In fact, he trained at Florida's IMG Academy and had hopes of pursuing a professional tennis career. However, the music won out and Whiskey Riff recently hailed Sterling Elza as "a name from the Texas scene you need to familiarize yourself with."

HAYDEN COFFMAN

On Friday, June 12th, Knoxville, Tennessee's Hayden Coffman will take the stage. Hayden's music has garnered over 280 million streams and has gotten 'rising star' shout outs from Spotify and Amazon. He has also been named one of the 'fastest rising unsigned country artists in the U.S.'

Here's a good example of why!

Hayden will be joined on the main stage by Lil Man J, whose music has earned him some notable fans from inside country music. One of those fans is Jelly Roll! Musically speaking, you may notice a bit of a similarity.

HAYLEY PAYNE

On Friday, June 26th, the headliners are the Eagles tribute- 7 Bridges. However, their opener is an Owensboro singer-songwriter who just shared some incredible news. Hayley Payne will be featured on the Tractor Supply Spotlight Stage inside Fan Fair X at CMA Fest.

A couple of weeks later, she'll be bringing her brand of country to the Friday After 5 stage!

WHISKEY ROW

July 4th weekend is going to be action packed in downtown Owensboro as Friday After 5 and the City of Owensboro team up for two nights of music, fireworks, and fun to celebrate America's 250th.

On Friday, July 3rd, Owensboro's own Whiskey Row will be headlining the Jagoe Homes Main Stage. The band is fronted by local favorite Drew Aud and they promise to deliver an action-packed show full of modern country.

LAKEVIEW

On Friday, July 10th, Nashville duo Lakeview- comprised of Jesse Denaro and Luke Healy- will headline. The Tennessean recently hailed them as "weekend warriors-turned-Music Row favorites." Their music has knocked down over 140 million streams online and helped them recruit over 700,000 social media fans. They've shared the stage with Nickelback, Breaking Benjamin, Dustin Lynch, Chase Matthew, and more.

They'll be joined by local favorites Dan Hall & Blackford Creek, who will be opening the show.

Then, Friday, July 31st, local favorite Cam Thompson will be co-headlining a show with DJ Shay. Cam, of course, recently opened for Chase Matthew on the closing night of BBQ & Barrels and has also promised fans an EP, which is set to be released in later this years.
