Lights Out, Screams Up: Don’t Miss Friday Night Live! at Holiday World

Friday Night Live! is back at Holiday World. As a long time fan of the theme park, I can share with you that this is one of my favorite events Holiday World hosts annually. It kicks off Friday, August 21st and runs weekly through October 30th. Each Friday night, the park will be open from 5pm to 10pm, giving you the chance to experience the chills and thrills at dusk and in the dark.

I have attended before and cannot wait to attend Friday Night Live! again. To get you ready for the experience, I have created The Top 4 Things You Must Do at Holiday World's Friday Night Live! 

#1- RIDE THE VOYAGE IN THE DARK

For my money, The Voyage is the best wooden roller coaster I have ever ridden. It's incredible during the day, but it's even wilder at night. Pro tip for you! Wait until dark and ride in the VERY BACK SEAT. You will lose your mind (and maybe your voice)!

#2- RIDE THE THUNDERBIRD AT NIGHT

As you can see, I love riding roller coasters in the dark and I am putting those experiences on this 'must' list. Here's my pro tip for riding the Thunderbird at night. Just like I'd tell you in the day: sit in the outer front right or the outer front left seat. You're going to launch into the darkness like a bat. The ride will take your breath away.

#3- RIDE THE LEGEND AT NIGHT

The theme continues. The Legend, while not as tall or as fast as The Voyage, is loaded up with crazy, banking turns and tunnels. Plus, making the ride even spookier is the legend of the Headless Horseman that 'drives' the thing. Riding The Legend at night is a Friday Night Live! and Happy Halloween Weekends must.

By the way, in case your unfamiliar with Happy Halloween Weekends, they run Saturdays and Sundays from September 19th through November 1st.

#4- SEE HAPPY NEW MONTH

Mark these dates - August 28th, September 18th, October 2nd, and October 30th! Holiday World's now legendary band, Happy New Month, will be taking the Cranberry Jam stage near Plymouth Rock Cafe and performing the greatest hits of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Plus, if we're lucky, we'll get to hear their theme song for the Good Gravy! roller coaster, "Pour Some Gravy on Me."
