Recall Issued on Popular Frozen Meals Over ‘Foreign Material’ Presence
Product recalls are an unfortunate fact of life, but it would seem to be impossible for every single aspect of manufacturing (down to the most minute of details) to go off without a hitch every single day. I'm not sure a week (or two weeks, at least) goes by without this item being recalled or that being recalled.
Frozen Meal Recall
Nestlé USA is among the latest corporations to pull items off the shelves and for a most unusual reason. Four of its frozen meal varieties are suspected of containing a "wood-like" material. And for the first time, which is hard to believe, two of the products in question have been in my freezer before. According to Nestlé, the recall went forward after multiple calls from consumers, even one regarding a choking incident.
Pretty terrifying, wouldn't you say? Nestlé also confirms that ONLY these four items are on the recall block.
Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli
This is one my favorites, and if it's one of yours, then it's time to pull it out of the freezer if it features these batch numbers and "best before" dates.
