Kentucky Band Hysterically Giving Away Their Bass Player’s Guitar
I first met Dustin Taylor about a decade ago when he came to play at one of our Denim & Diamonds concerts for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. If my memory serves me correctly, he played guitar for my friend Lauren Payne, who was one of our headliners that year. It was obvious, quickly, that Dustin was a talented musician with the necessary charisma and a sort of smoldering vibe to match.
Today, he is the front man of a band called Funky Luck, who are celebrating the release of a bunch of brand new music. They're releasing those new singles in an incredibly fun way. The group is releasing seven new songs over the course of seven weeks and we're about halfway through the series.
Funky Luck is also giving away their bassist's guitar and they shared that news with their fans (and their guitarist) a couple of weeks ago.

Here's how Dustin describes the band's new music. He says, "The style is really blues/rock, but certainly some good-ole’ country undertones."
Here's a sample of Funky Luck's latest song "Already Gone." It dropped this morning.
You'll be able to hear Funky Luck and their brand new music over the next few months. There will be multiple opportunities to hear them perform live. This Friday night, they'll be playing at the Owensboro Convention Center as part of the BBQ & Barrels Festival. They'll also be at Friday After 5 on Friday, June 9th. Then, the next evening, they'll be headlining PorchFest OBKY 2023.
