During his daily address Friday afternoon, Governor Andy Beshear gave Kentuckians the latest COVID-19 information.

He encouraged us all to not be tempted by nice weather we'll get after a potentially stormy Saturday evening passes this weekend. In other words, enjoy the nice weather, but continue to follow social distancing guidelines.

The governor reiterated his request for cities to close public parks and park features.

Beshear had an info-graphic on display detailing the expansion of unemployment benefits.

And then the update came about new cases in Kentucky. And there were 54 new COVID-19 cases to report Friday. That's the single largest jump from one day to the next that Kentucky has seen, although Governor Beshear did take a small amount of solace that it wasn't an enormously higher "new" number than yesterday's 50.
