Head to This Indiana Wildlife Park For a Dazzling Fall Light Show
Shamefully, I have not visited Wilstem Wildlife Park in five years and that, absolutely, must change.
Back in 2019, we were there for a fun Bucket List visit and, among other things, got to watch a grizzly bear eat cookies. Yeah, I know. It sounds like a cartoon. But, nope.
Trust me, it was a total blast watching these gigantic creatures devour vanilla sandwich cookies. Then again, I've devoured a few in my day, except THAT isn't very fun to watch.
That was a special exhibit called the Grizzly Encounter at Wilstem Ranch. On most occasions, you'll enjoy checking out giraffes, kangaroos and elephants and who knows what else. But this fall, we'll be treated to a dazzling light show. The annual fall-themed lights will be extended to include the dinosaur safari. Hence, Dinos in the Dark.
Your excursion will include vibrant colors, fog, and animated, life-size dinosaurs. You'll also experience all of the Wilstem drive-through safari animals including those at the Roos and Crew building.
Wilstem is offering a couple of packages this fall--the one I've just described and the Twilight Drive-Thru Wagon and Light Show. The latter includes an exclusive visit to the elephant habitat.
You will do yourself an enormous favor by thoroughly examining everything there is to do at Wilstem Wildlife Ranch. In addition to elephant encounters, Wilstem also offers similar experiences featuring sloths, giraffes, otters, and primates.
It is a unique experience, unlike what you'd find at a zoo, and it--or THEY--are waiting for you in Paoli at Wilstem Ranch.
