Local Women’s Group, HER Owensboro, Invites You to Swap & Serve
HER Owensboro is a local community group for women, founded by Allyson Sanders, Grae Greer, and Baylee Long. You've probably heard their names before because they are ladies who make things happen in Owensboro.
For more than a year now, HER has hosted various fundraisers for local organizations, volunteered for St. Benedict's and the Daniel Pitino Shelter, and collected/shopped for needed items for food pantries and schools in the area.
They've even facilitated workshops at Girls Inc. and the Boys & Girls Club, teaching life skills, car safety, boosting confidence, and having fun. Movie nights and community get-togethers provide space for women to socialize and feel supported.

Coming up in a couple of weeks, HER Owensboro is hosting the first Swap & Serve event at The Party Space Place on January 24th from noon to 2 PM. Organizer Grae Greer asked in a social media post, "Have a bag of clothing you “swear you’re taking to Goodwill”? Are there cute outfits in your closet that you keep pushing aside? Has your style changed, or do certain pieces no longer serve you?"
OK, wow, she called me out with that first question, not gonna lie. If you relate to any of those questions, you can sign up to bring clothes or just shop at Swap & Serve. I say "shop" but really everything is free! Gently used clothing, accessories, and shoes will be set up on tables and racks for you to look through.
Click here to fill out the quick form, and then you'll be ready to go!
