Fast Lane Auto Repair, along with American Legion Post 9 is on a mission to provide hundreds of bikes to kids at Christmas. They are asking for community members to donate kids' bikes of all ages this holiday season. Doesn't every child deserve a bike under the tree from Santa at least once in their life? We say, yes indeed they do. Here's how to donate.

Every single year so many kind-hearted community members roll up into the Christmas Wish headquarters with brand-new bikes for the kiddos. Children who deserve this blessing under the tree. Many children wish for a bike, but we don't always have the extra funding to make it happen. We depend on these donations. What I saw happen over the last week made my heart smile.

Fast Lane Auto Repair, along with American Legion Post 9 put out a challenge to local businesses, customers, family and friends thru social media. The challenge began within moments after Fast Lane Auto Repair started the bike-a-thon by donating 6 bikes. Social media lit up and the bikes literally have come rollin' in!

The bikes will go to Toys for Tots and to Christmas Wish. We are so very thankful.

At this very moment we are at 1,139 families who have filled out wish letters, and it's still early. The stories and challenges they're facing is heart-wrenching. Many have never asked for help a day in their lives, but this tough year has thrown them a curve ball. Currently, we are sifting through all of the letters, working with the schools to assess need, and working hard to make this a special Christmas. I did notice that many children are requesting bikes. When we talk to the school resource officers, we can easily make the determination that the child truly would appreciate a new bike under the tree from Santa. We also keep track to see who received bikes last year. We really want all children to get that special moment, but bikes can be limited, and we don't have the budget to buy them. Last year we helped over 6500 children and this year we're expecting 8,000 kids. That's why THIS is such a HUGE blessing!

If you are in need this holiday season, or know someone that is, fill out a Wish Letter today. We're all here to help.
