You know, as much as I love the Star Trek franchise, I find the original series to be a little silly...except for the inimitable Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock. He was/is awesome! He truly IS the Spock that rocks!

And now I've heard that LEONARD NIMOY is coming in concert August 1st to the Ford Center?!? For real?!? Oh man, that is gonna be awesome. I've got the perfect slogan for that night. You ready?

"If the house is Spockin', don't come knockin'!"

Right?!?

I used to have all his albums but I don't know where they are, so I got a Greatest Hits set and it has 'em all! "Sweet Home Enterprise," "Sulu's Gone," "What's Your Name, Klingon?", "Tribble Man," and, naturally, "Live Long and Prosper, Free Bird." There's more, of course.

And I bet he does his biggest hit, "Fascinating":

Wow!

And I just saw him the other day when he beamed in (no pun intended...well, maybe a little) for a cameo in Star Trek: Into Darkness. You're gonna have to Vulcan pinch me. This is too cool.

Oh, wait.

Never mind. It's not Leonard NIMOY at the Ford Center August 1st. Its Leonard SKYNYRD...I mean, LYNYRD SKYNYRD. And that's cool, too. Maybe next time, Mr. Spock.

Anyway, Lynyrd Skynyrd...at the Ford Center...August 1st. And you know you wanna go. So, without further ado--'cause there's already been plenty "ado"--tickets for Lynyrd Skynyrd with special guest Eric Paslay at the Ford Center August 1st are on sale now and are available at ticketmaster.com and the Ford Center box office.

Live long and prosper...free bird.
