Is It Illegal to Make Out in Your Car in Kentucky?
I find it ironic that the most romantic holiday on the calendar occurs during the dead of winter, and here's why: It's pretty difficult to become amorous in the front seat of your vehicle when it's 10, 20, or 30 degrees outside. MAYBE it's the best thing for everyone involved that Valentine's Day IS in February. It keeps you out of the car when those romantic feelings begin to take over.
I suppose it's the weather's way of saying, "Get a room."
In Kentucky, that's wise because you could be in a bit of trouble if you're caught making out in the front seat of your vehicle, even with your clothes on. (Frankly, I've never understood that particular activity; you CAN'T be comfortable.)
By the way, emphasis on "could."
Is It Illegal to Make Out in Your Vehicle?
After doing some digging, I've learned that the act itself isn't illegal. Suhre & Associates helpfully puts it this way:
The straightforward answer is that there is no law on the books in the state of Kentucky that expressly prohibits you from having sex in a car. However, should a third party unintentionally become aware of the activities taking place, or should they witness private body parts’ exposure, it becomes a legal issue.

And there it is. That's why "the act itself" is an important distinction. It also makes it clear that nobody better see what you're doing. It's basically an indecent exposure charge we're talking about, and if that's the case, then you are most certainly in hot water. It's a Class B felony and could land you in jail for up to 90 days.
Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and we're having a very cold winter. PRO TIP: Stay inside and enjoy some hot chocolate with your significant other. Maybe you can both turn your furnace on together. How romantic is that?
