It’s Fall Y’All: Weekend Low Temperatures Could Dip Into the Upper 40s
At this writing, I have just spoken with Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist Wayne Hart, and he and I are on the same page about the coming season.
We've talked plenty about our love of fall and now we--and everyone else who feels as we do--can indulge ourselves.
While today isn't the worst we've ever experienced--it's currently 81 degrees with almost tolerable 55% humidity--this is mid-September and it's time for that stuff to go.
It is also time for my car to get ready for drives through the country. It's time for my playlists, which beautifully accompany fall weather, to get ready for some heavy action.
It's time for the windows in my car and my home to prepare for a workout, because they will be coming down.
It's fall, y'all. Check out this current 7-day projection from Eyewitness News:
That sound you hear is a heavy sigh of satisfaction. It's the kind of satisfaction I get from washing my hoodies (oh Lord, I don't have ANY of my hoodies washed), knowing I can give my air conditioner a much needed respite, getting my jeans out of the plastic tote.
What I will NOT be doing is loading up on all things "pumpkin spice." In my opinion, it's a flavor that has run its course. For starters, I don't even eat pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving because it's just, well, boring. That's just me. If you love it, eat a whole one. Go for it. I just don't think it's an exciting flavor. I'm way more down for gingerbread, maple, and cranberry.
Anyway, fall is coming like it's RARING to go. I hope, like me, you will enjoy the heck out of it.
