What a beautiful national day!  National Proposal Day...as a little girl I dreamed of who I would marry, how he would propose, and of course what the ring would look like.  Like he sometimes does God had a different plan.I am so glad he did!  When I was a little girl I dreamed of a lavish proposal with friends around taking pictures, and family there, and just a big to do.  Not how it played out and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I told you all a few weeks ago on my wedding anniversary how I met my husband, Joe, what I didn't tell you is exactly how he proposed.  Some of you don't know that I teach fit classes at First Baptist Church.  When Joe and I were dating, he would meet me before class and visit with me.  The day he proposed I knew something was different.  He wasn't totally with me when we talked.  We walked the track and he figited nervously.  We finished our lap and it was time for me to go teach class.  He walked me down the hall and grabbed my hand, I turned around and he said "you know I have been thinking a lot lately about my life and what I am sure and unsure of and there are so many things I am unsure of but one thing I know is that I want to spend the rest of my life with you."  he then dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him.  I cried, said YES, and floated on air while teaching class!

Pay no attention to my terrible nails but isn't my ring beautiful!  However, it pales in comparison to the man who gave it to me.

If you're reading this and haven't found your prince or princess, don't fret, just like he did with me, God has a great plan, rest in knowing he has you taken care of too!

Happy Proposal Day, dear friends!
