The Highlands, to locals, may be referred to as "Restaurant Row." Louisville Tourism says this about The Highlands:

Between restaurants, bars, boutiques, and galleries, you’ll also find inviting retreats in the many independent coffee and tea shops. LoveFood says that this is the best neighborhood in Kentucky for food and restaurants, and they echo everything mentioned above with their reasoning.

With colorful murals, ornate Victorian homes, and a fun bar scene, The Highlands is one of the oldest and most beloved neighborhoods in Louisville. The action is centered around a vibrant stretch of Bardstown Road, known as Restaurant Row. You’ll always find something delicious here, whether you’re on the bourbon trail or want to sink your teeth into an authentic Kentucky hot brown (a turkey, bacon, and cheese sandwich smothered in a cheesy sauce) at local favorite Bristol Bar & Grille.

Now, this is all subjective, of course. What you might consider the best food neighborhood might not be what the next person would say. However, it's hard to argue with the fact that you'd be hard-pressed to find a neighborhood in Kentucky quite as known for its amazing food as The Highlands.
