See Dozens of Hot Air Balloons Light up the Night During Indiana’s Hot Air Balloon Festival
Hot air balloon competitions, live entertainment, food trucks and glowing balloons at night are all a part of this festival.
Hot Air Balloons
There's something kind of whimsical about seeing a hot air balloon in the sky, and these days we don't seem to see them very often. Hot air balloons have been around since the 1700s and work on the heat-rising principle. Virgin Balloon Flights explains:
A hot air balloon is a unique flying craft which works because hot air rises. There are two main types of hot air balloon. Both were developed in the late 18th century and are still used today.
During the Jupiter Flights Balloon Festival in Indiana, you can see dozens of hot air balloons this summer.

Every year dozens of hot air balloons descend upon Fishers, Indiana. For three days in September, Conner Prairie plays host to several hot air balloons where you can enjoy watching the balloons light up the night at their annual Balloon Glow, and you can enjoy hot air balloon competitions during the day, and plenty of more fun for the family!
You'll have access to live music, food trucks, bounce houses, our corn maze, dry tubing hills, Sunflower Field and other activities for the whole family. After the sun goes down, a colorful hot air balloon glow will light up the night sky! The 1859 Balloon Voyage will be open for an additional cost, weather permitting.
The event will take place Friday, September 7th through Sunday, September 9th. You can check out ticket information and more event information, here.
