Last year, Jimmy Wayne was a world-beater--or, at the very least, a nation beater--as he walked a 1700-mile journey to raise awareness of the issue of foster children who age out of the foster care program and may become homeless. He began on January 1, 2010 in Nashville and finished in Phoenix. Jimmy, himself, spent a great deal of time as a young man in foster care. And now, that pilgrimage will be the focus of a new documentary. It will cover the reasons behind the trip as well as the people and places Jimmy encountered during the walk. I'm looking forward to seeing a chronicle of yet another country star going the extra mile--quite literally--for those less fortunate.
