Jingle all the Way! Fill Santa’s Sleigh with Santa & Mrs. Claus in Owensboro, KY

The "Fill Santa's Sleigh Toy Drive" is happening this afternoon at Ollie's Bargain Outlet in Owensboro. Please consider dropping off gifts, toys, and clothes, or make a monetary donation to help those in need this holiday season. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting for photos.

The 46th annual Christmas Wish program is underway in Owensboro. We have close to 1,900 wish letters submitted. We'll be supplying gifts for over 6,000 children this holiday season. That means over 30,000 toys will be distributed out of Santa's Workshop. We have 14 days left to distribute the packages, and we need your help. There's a fundraiser planned at Ollie's to collect toys for good boys and girls.

We need your help to ensure every child has presents delivered for Christmas Day. On Sunday, December 11th, 2022, come out to Ollie's for Ollie's Army Night in Owensboro. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on-site for photos between 5:30 and 8 PM. The Kentucky Pride Softball Team will be there "shaking helmets". Hot chocolate and cookies will be served for a donation. By filling Santa's sleigh this Christmas, you'll help give toys to thousands of local children.

Let's make sure Santa's workshop is filled with gifts and toys to finish out the season. Before we get to the hottest toys, the trend with this year's letters is alarming. 70% of the letter submissions are asking for clothes. 25% are asking for simple things like socks and underwear. Many are just asking for personal hygiene products. In my seven years as the director of Christmas Wish, this is the most requests I've seen. We offer new winter coats to any child that needs one but only supply clothing if we have some on hand. We focus more on toys for children and a Christmas meal for the family. If you can donate socks, underwear, or pajamas it would be greatly appreciated.
