The brush fires that are currently causing massive devastation across Australia have taken the lives of hundreds of millions of animals. More than 12.35 million acres of land have burned since brush fire season began in September. One Kentucky attraction, known for its Australian zoo, is doing its part to help.

Horse Cave's Kentucky Down Under is donating 50 percent of their January proceeds to the Australia Zoo in Queensland to support their efforts in caring for animals suffering from the effects of fires.

It's estimated nearly 1 billion animals will be impacted by the fires in Australia.

Wildlife experts say the extent of the damage is still unknown.
