Kentucky State Police Issue Warning About School Threats
The Kentucky State Police are warning area school students that threats of school violence will not be tolerated . . . even if they're meant to be a joke. This stems from an arrest made last week in Christian County and another made this week here in Daviess County.
Last Thursday, a 15-year-old male student was arrested after making a threat at Christian County High School. Authorities say the student said he was going to "bring a gun and shoot up the school." Officers took the boy into custody on a school bus and questioned him about the perceived threat. The student claimed it was a joke. But for the Kentucky State Police, it was no laughing matter and the student was formally charged with terroristic threatening.
