Kentucky Town Goes All Out With Valentine’s Decorations & You’ll LOVE It
The day when the world celebrates LOVE will soon be upon us. One town in Kentucky decided to deck the halls and the streets and the stores in honor of the special occasion.
ALL ABOUT BARBOURVILLE, KENTUCKY
Located near the Cumberland River Barbourville was founded in the early 1800s. It is located close to London, Kentucky but far enough away to have that small-town feel. Barbourville hosts the Daniel Boone Festival every single year and they are known for (tobacco, timber, vegetables, and sorghum).
Another thing their famous for is Tommy's Root Bear Stand and the home of the $.50 hot dog!
MAKING SURE THE TOWNSPEOPLE FEEL THE LOVE ON VALENTINE'S DAY
I was scrolling through Facebook on Sunday night and noticed my friend, Erinn Williams, posted about Barbourville. She is from Eastern, Kentucky and has a deep deep love for her roots. She shared some photos of the decorations the people of Barbourville put together for Valentine's Day and they were absolutely amazing.
I contacted Michelle Smith who is from Barbourville and asked her all about the decorations. She shared with me that the town takes the opportunity to go all out for every holiday and then she shares the photos with the rest of the world.
It's like a LOVE sign saying Welcome to Barbourville!
I think these are my favorite decorations of them all. How cool to be able to sit under this and enjoy coffee or a book.
Loving the Yard Card Hearts.
The addition of the lights with the hearts really brings it to life.
They have even invested in a metal heart with their name on it.
A lot of the homes are decorated too.
City light poles are showing lots of love.
What a cute little dress shop decked out in LOVE.
You can actually check out all the decorations on the Facebook Page Get Off The Couch And See Kentucky.
