Kinky Boots the Musical is Coming to RiverPark Center [Photos]

I am not going to lie.  Since I saw Wayne Brady in this show on Broadway, I have been dying to try on a pair of Kinky Boots!  And, now, because the touring company of the musical is headed to the RiverPark Center in Owensboro, I am getting the opportunity to do it.  Kinky Boots is rolling into town on Wednesday, April 3rd and we're celebrating with the photo and hashtag campaign- #JustBeOBKY

In 2013, Kinky Boots won six Tony Awards, including the Tony for Best Musical.  The book is written by Harvey Fierstein and the score is written by Cyndi Lauper.  Here's a sneak preview of the show!!

According to the official press release, here's what the show's about:  Inspired by true events, KINKY BOOTS takes you from a gentlemen’s shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father’s expectations and continue the family business of Price & Son. With the factory’s future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.

Over the next couple of weeks, we're going to be sharing photos of these Kinky Boots around town!  And, as I mentioned earlier, we're doing so to spread the message of the show.  #JustBe (Just Be, by the way, in the finale song of the musical).

I am pumped that Kinky Boots is coming to Owensboro.  The show is an absolute blast (I saw it on Broadway . . .  in the front row!!) and, as you can see, the boots themselves are FIERCE!!
