Krispy Kreme Construction Moving Right Along in Owensboro [Photos]

Who's ready for Krispy Kreme?  Construction on Owensboro's new franchise location is moving right along.

The Kentucky Fried Chicken that once stood at the intersection of Southtown Boulevard and Frederica Street is a faded, distant memory.  And construction on the new Krispy Kreme Doughnuts location is underway and making incredible progress.

The tentative plans are for the location to open sometime late summer or early fall.  In the meantime, a simple drive by the ongoing construction will get your mouth watering.  While work continues on the exterior of the building, it won't be hard to picture in the interior in your mind.  We're just months away from doughnuts on conveyor belts!
