Back in May, Kyle Busch mistook a North Carolina highway for one of the many ovals he races on and he landed himself a speeding ticket.  On Tuesday, the punishment was handed down for Busch's Lexus free-wheeling.

After celebrating his win in the Pure Michigan 400, Busch will relinquish a $1,000 fine, lose his driver's license for 45, and he has been ordered to perform 30 hours of community service with the BRAKES program, which teaches safe driving to teenagers.  Busch avoided a charge for reckless driving, how???  Yes, the judge deferred it.  I guess speeding three times the posted limit is not reckless.

Busch and his other Chase contenders move on to Bristol Motor Speedway for Saturday's Irwin Tools Night Race (500 miles).  Live coverage begins at 5:30pm on The Country Station, 92.5 WBKR!
