Lincoln State Park Hosting Snakes Alive & Other Labor Day Weekend Events (PHOTOS)
Lincoln State Park in Indiana is hosting a variety of activities for Labor Day Weekend perfect for the whole family including Snakes Alive & Hunger Game events.
9/4 - Hunger Games Hike-will feature the search for Katniss and edible plants in the park and begins at 8 a.m.
9/4 - World of Pollinators-learn all about different types of pollinators and why they are a necessity in our world. This is a half-hour program beginning at 11 a.m.
9/4 - Abe's Indiana-starting at 1 p.m. families will be educated on the history of Indiana and what it was like to live there in 1816.
9/4 - Snakes Alive-The snake presentation will meet at the Nature Center to educate everyone on snakes that may be found while hiking in Lincoln Park starts at 6 p.m.
9/5 - Lake Hike-enjoy a two-mile hike around the lake to scope out wildlife. 8 a.m.
9/5 - Creek Peek-do you love getting wet? This is the perfect way to cool off and wade in the creek. Make sure to bring shoes or boots. From 1 p.m.-2 p.m.
9/6 - Nature Preserve Hike- Take a hike to some of the oldest woods in the park. 8 a.m.
9/6 - Snakes Alive-The snake presentation will meet at the Nature Center to educate everyone on snakes that may be found while hiking in Lincoln Park starts at 11 a.m.
9/6 - Parkemon Go!-Head out on a scavenger hunt all over the park to see how many points you can score with Parkemon Go!
Lincoln State Park is only about 35 miles from Owensboro.
