Load Up on the Goodies at These Owensboro KY Trunk-or-Treat Events

Talk to anyone my age about Halloween, and it won't take long for SOMEONE to mention how far away from home we used to travel on the scariest night of the year. I even remember taking a wagon one year, returning home, dumping the loot, and heading back out.

IT'S TRUNK OR TREAT SEASON

Well, in 2022, no wagons are necessary when all the folks who will give you candy gathered in one location. Such is the genius of Trunk or Treat.

And by the time Halloween rolls around, there will have been SEVEN such events in Owensboro and Daviess County. No, the kiddos won't be wandering around multiple neighborhoods leaving you to wonder where they might be, but they WILL be flush with candy by the end of the season, and that's what matters.

THE FATHER'S HOUSE

It all starts this Saturday at The Father's House, 3031 Bittel Road. Trunk or Treat will begin at 4PM. Bring the kids, your appetite for chili AND baked goods, in case you win the Bake Walk.

BRESCIA UNIVERSITY

Tuesday, October 25th, Brescia University's Psych Club will present Trunk or Treat in the student services parking lot from 4:30 PM until 6 PM. Coffee, hot chocolate, and baked goods will be served.

PLEASANT VALLEY COMMUNITY CHURCH

Pleasant Valley Community Church, 800 Pleasant Valley Road, will host a Trunk or Treat event the very next night on October 26th, from 6 PM until 7:30 PM.

CEDARHURST OF OWENSBORO

Come trick-or-treat with the residents of Cedarhurst. The fun begins at 5 PM and will last until 7 PM.

MATTHEW'S TABLE

On Saturday, October 29th, Matthew's Table, 119 W. 24th Street, will host Trunk or Treat from 3 PM until 5 PM. But don't run off, or you'll miss Fall Fest activities from 5 PM until 7 PM. And that includes a chili cook-off and a silent auction to benefit the youth ministry. Both begin at 6 PM.

CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH OF OWENSBORO

Speaking of chili cook-offs, there will be one as part of the Trunk or Treat festivities on Sunday, October 30th, at Christ Community Church of Owensboro, 1220 Center Street from 4 until 6 PM.

That same day--and at the same time, as a matter of fact--Cornerstone Church at 1359 East 4th Street will host its second annual Fall Festival and, yes, there will be a Trunk or Treat. There will also be prize drawings every 15 minutes.

KENTUCKY WESLEYAN COLLEGE

Finally, Kentucky Wesleyan College will host Trunk or Treat on the big night, October 31st, from 5 until 6:30 PM. It will take place at the Yu Hak Hahn Parking Lot off of Wesleyan Way.
