Calling all bourbon lovers! With food insecurity at an all-time high, it’s remarkable to see local businesses like Barrel Heads Liquor Market & Tasting Bar, along with our community, step up in a big way. And wow, are they ever stepping up. The bourbon event has just one more day left, and there’s still time to make a real difference. Here’s how you can help.

They Always Show Up for Us

When the community is in need, you can always count on Rick, Take 10 Market, and Barrel Heads to step in and get something done! They’ve never hesitated to throw their support behind animal rescues, cancer projects, children’s causes, and more. Just last month, they raised thousands of dollars for Give Cancer the Boot, helping patients and families at Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center through the Owensboro Health Foundation. And here they are, right back at it again with “Pour It Forward,” pouring their hearts into another cause.

$10,000 Mark, And Still Climbing!

This community never fails to amaze! Thanks to everyone who has stepped up for Pour It Forward: Food Bank Edition, Barrel Heads has officially crossed the $10,000 fundraising goal, and they’ve celebrated by releasing even more rare bourbon bottles for the final day of the event.

Eyes on the Next Milestones

With just one day left, the push is on to hit $15,000, which would unlock even bigger bourbon releases, including another 2025 King of Kentucky, the 2025 Hazmat George T. Stagg, and Pappy Van Winkle 15 Year. And if the community really goes all-in and reaches $20,000, the legendary Michter’s 20 Year will be released.

Final Countdown

The deadline to get your entries in is this Saturday at 5:55 PM, with a live announcement at 6:00 PM on Facebook Live.

Every bit of support helps, whether it’s a monetary donation or dropping off non-perishable food items to keep our local food banks stocked. Let’s finish strong and keep pouring it forward!
