Louisville Cardinals Leap To No. 3 in the AP Top 25 College Football Poll
The bluegrass was red all over after Louisville's overwhelming win over no. 2 Florida State Saturday. In case you missed it, the Cards won 63-20 over the Seminoles who have now dropped out of the top 10 in the new AP Poll. Louisville is now at number 3 in the AP Poll and at number 4 in the new Coaches Poll. The Cardinals have not been ranked this high since coach Bobby Petrino's first stint with the team in 2006.
Louisville made the biggest jump in the poll, 7 spots, while Florida State dropped from 2 to 13. The Cardinals also received six first place votes for the AP Poll. The Heisman Trophy conversation grew as the man to beat as of now is Cardinal sophomore (?!?) quarterback Lamar Jackson who has scored 18 touchdowns, 8 passing, 10 rushing, in the team's first three games. Unreal.
The Cards' next contest will be a non-conference road game at Marshall this Saturday.
